“Ask and You Shall Receive”
So, I’ve been back in Nashville for over a week now and have been practicing with a few of my old band members to get ready for a few shows we’ll be playing together this summer.
As soon as I pulled into Grand Ole RV Resort (which has become my home in Tennessee for the last 3 years), my landlord asked if I would be willing to do the Gospel service every Sunday morning while I’m here. In addition, he offered up a 3 hour set every Saturday night… I said I would be honored to do both! On top of that, I have been asked by another campground, a few miles north of the Kentucky line, to do a Gospel service there as well on Sunday evenings for the duration of my stay! So basically, I hit town with a residency performance agreement with 2 venues!! God is good!!!! 🙂
But, unfortunately, this dry spell that we’ve had (though productive in other ways) has left a substantial hole in our finances that won’t be easy to fill. However, God already had a plan in play that I did not see coming!!
On Monday night, after the team and I had just finished praying that God would provide a few more shows, a drummer that I used to work with downtown called me up and asked me to play Thursday night with the old band!! Not only that, but there’s been a few openings in the roster at several venues downtown and my drummer said that she would keep me in the loop of any other gigs that she can add me to.
So God’s definitely listening!! I am continually humbled by His continual provision for us and His undeniable blessing on my career!
